Antiracism Pedagogy Action Plan

What is the Action Plan?
An important component of this course is the development of an Antiracism Action Plan which you will submit at the end of the course.
- Please download a copy of the Action Plan Template in the format that works best for you and use it as a guide for developing your plan as you move through this course.
- Google Doc version: OFAR Action Plan Template. Clicking on the Make a Copy button creates a copy of the template in your personal Google Drive.
- The Action Plan is your opportunity to share how you intend to integrate OER and open pedagogy as a way to make your teaching and learning explicitly antiracist.
- We will ask you to consider both short-term, easily implemented actions or projects, and long-term goals. Both short-term and long-term plans are valuable; we want to hear your ideas for what can reasonably be accomplished in the near future, and what goals you have that may take more time to implement.
- As you move through the next weeks of this course and into the implementation period, think about how you can you extend or “scale up” your idea, bring others in, and leverage your team to expand your reach.
Don’t have a clear plan yet? Don’t worry!
- This course is intended to share ideas and strategies you may consider implementing in your own course.
- Keep the development of an action plan in mind as you move through the course, so that by the end, you have a plan in place.
Looking for examples of Action Plans from previous OFAR participants?
- As you think about your Action Plan and what you want to commit to implementing in your course, we want to draw your attention to an OFAR playlist with action plans and project examples.
- Please note, in sharing these examples, we want to remind you that your ideas and options are limitless!
Once the course is over, what’s next?
- After the course concludes, that’s when the work of implementing your action plan begins!
